For those looking for an activity for the little ones, a beautiful bamboo built butterfly farm in Mindo is at 45 min from Sauipe.
Horseback riding
If you are looking for an easy and calm horseback ride for beginners and children through dirt roads, Mindo’s valley can give you that option. The ride is practically auto guided since the horses know the way by heart.
Chocolate Tour
Who doesn’t like chocolate to sweeten your day, and what better way to enjoy it then doing a chocolate tour to know where it comes from. They'll take you through the entire process, from the plant to the chocolate bar. In Mindo (at 45 min from Sauipe) you can visit one place we recommend, El Quetzal. There you can also sample various types of chocolates and honeys and why not take a few back home.
Zip Lining
At only 30 min from the property, through the main road is Tucanopy within the Intillacta Reserve with more than 80 hectares (200 acres) of primary and secondary forest. Visitors can challenge their fears on the zipline at the same time they admire the beauty of nature and walk through narrow hanging bridges at 30 m above the ground (100 ft) close to the canopy of the trees. Tucanopy also offers tasty gourmet dishes.
Sauipe pond
After a long day, our ponds here at Sauipe offer a nice relaxation on the raft to kick back and chill for a moment while the kids are having fun in the water whether they’re on the canoe or buoys. A dip in that cool pond water will shake you up a bit, but it’s a great way to shake off all your worries and continue your day enjoying with your family.
